Smirnitskaya O.A. From word to sense: Ulfilas as the translator of Gothic Holy Scriptures
Abstract
The article elucidates the principles of the Gothic translation of the Holy Scriptures. Gothic Bible is viewed owing to philology, utilitarianly, – but as a sacred text equivalent Greek original concurrently. This approach, according to the author, will allow to understand better the words of the gothic language and the content of the Holy Scriptures. The article deals with the question of the authorship of translation; Ulfilas is presented not only as the translator, but the like-minded person of the Eastern Fathers of the Church, enlightened Christian. In the article discusses the questions of the Gothic Arianism (the «Arian signs» in the Epistle to Philippians of the Apostle Paul), the problem of time as an one aspect of the Eusebius concept.

Abstract
The article includes two parts: the first one (by Natalija Ganina) presents a philological study of the Halberstadt Marienklage Ms. (The Science Library. of Lomonosov Moscow State University, f. 40, opis’ 1, №46), contains the new transcription of the Middle German text and its Russian translation. The second part (by Rimma Pospelova) offers the transcription of music (from the gothic notation) with some comments on music substance of this unique form of the Passion play.

Smirnov A. Das Symbol in der Lyrik Lermontows im Verhältnis zur Symbolik Goethes
Abstract
The central position of symbol in the poetic philosophy of art is based on two assumptions and conditions – on the recognition of identity of nature and spirit, whose language is of divine origin, and on the presence of analogy between a human and the universe. The correspondence between dream and reality is a central problem not only for Lermontovʼs and Goethe’s poetry, but also of European literature in general. The symbols of Russian and German poets appear in two variants. The first is equal to the semantics of the word, which appeals to poetics of the universe. The structure of symbol is not disclosed, but only implied for the reader who must be aware of all phenomena, feelings, experiences referred to the semantics of the words «earth», «sky», «star», «cup of life» in which «drink was – a dream».
The doctrine of correspondences, which viewed the external world as a system of symbols revealing the spiritual world in material form. By the romantic period, the view that nature is the visual language of God or spirit became established as one of the mainstays of poetry, but two fundamental shifts had occurred: the material and spiritual worlds were seen as merged rather than related simply as representation to the thing represented; and, as a result, the meaning of symbols became less fixed and more ambiguous. The correspondence between individual elements allows us to conclude about the uniqueness of Lermontov’s and Goethe’s ideas about forms of its realization. Symbol is extremely individualized, devoid of tradition. They have become a model of a new kind of romantic symbolization in European poetry of the nineteenth century. Natural phenomena become elements of their external imagery. If they «play» person, it appears somewhat sketchy in terms of psychological development, «carries» only one «idea», whether it is the desire for freedom or fight. Human appears in these texts as a complex set of feelings and emotions, and personifies an «idea».

Banovich-Markovska A. Cultural Memory as Memory Manipulation: Between Past Experiences and Present Values
Abstract
The article deals with the phenomenon of cultural memory that posseses not only national, but generational content. Cultural memory seems more strong than the national cultures memory of the former Yugoslavia so its symbolics, ideals, myths still evidence the existence of imaginary multicultural community. This community, although it did not become a nation, exists today in consciousness of different ethnos as specific kinds of common cultural memory.

Savelyev V. «Tale of Bygone Years». Sources and correlated texts (Paper 2)
Abstract
The article is a continuation of the research «“Tale of Bygone Years”. Sources and correlated texts (Paper 1)» published in the multilanguage scientific journal «Stephanos» (2014, №1). The article compares the fragments of the «Tale of Bygone Years» and a number of ancient texts, valued as sources chronicles or texts, correlated with it (texts of Scripture, liturgical books, the Holy Fathers, translated chronicles). Defined types of relationships that exist between them, – borrowing («foreign word» in their text) vs similarity («common word» in their text) – and set these kinds of relationships. As a «hearsay» stand citations, transformed citations (investigated different cases transformation quotes when you include them in the text), as well as fragments containing information from written sources, including potential. Determining the species «common words», the author establishes the following typology of relations linking the text fragments: story similarities (the unit of description – plot motif), the ideological similarity (the unit of description – topos), phraseological similarity (the unit of description – a cliché). When comparing the fragments of texts there are cases when the data type of the relationship form various combinations (relationship plot-idiomatic similarities ideological and idiomatic similarities plot-ideological and idiomatic similarity).

Vasilyeva V. On the problem of conversion and grammatical polyfunctionality linguistic units
Abstract
The article deals with the understanding of parts of speech conversion and distinguishes the phenomenon of conversion and grammatical syncretism. The material for investigation is contemporary russian language. The author came to the conclusion that the phenomenon of grammatical polyfunctionality is more frequence in russian language vs. speech convergence as such.

Guchkova D. Post-ideological return to ideology in the Slovak literature after 1989
Abstract
The article deals with the Slovak literature after the «tender» revolution in 1989, the main tendencies of the development of the Slovak literature. The author marks continuity between the writers of the 1990 s. and the 1960 s., for whom were characterized by attention to everyday private life, interes to small literary genres etc. However, in the late 1990s – early 2000s. the attempt was made to investigate the topic of totalitarism, of internal un-liberty of human, to approach to study of the events of history with post-ideological positions. Particular attention author pays the creative work of Ján Johanides, Lajos Grendel, Igor Otčenáš, Pavel Vilikovský, Pavel Hrúz etc.

Kosanovich B. Subject of imposture at A.S. Pushkin and P.P. Negosh
Abstract
The article is the part of the research how the works of Pushkin were interpreted at Serbia. The result was the book, that had prepared for publishing, «Our – Serbian Pushkin». The subject of the comparative studying were the historical drams of the two greate national writers: Pushkin – «Boris Godunov» (1831) and Negosh – «Szczepan Little the impostor» (1847).

Abstract
At the heart of the article – unpublished letter V.B. Shklovsky to A.P. Platonov, which assessed the story «Takyr». Analysis of this letter in correlation with its attendant circumstances shows that the critic on a mission to the political leader of the Union of Soviet Writers, who sought to bring the creativity of the writer with the overall standard.

Abstract
At the University of Belgrade, which was founded in 1838, the studies of the Russian language were introduced in 1878, when the Department of the Russian Language and Literature was opened. The first professor of the Russian language and literature was Platon Andrejevic Kulakovski, who wrote the first University textbook of the Russian language in Serbia called the Russian Reader (Руска читанка). Radovan Košutić is considered the founder of the Slavic Studies at the Belgrade University. His work, The Examples of the Literary Russian Language was published in 1910. Today, there are 429 students studying and 23 teachers holding lectures on Russian language, literature and culture at the Department of Slavic Studies of the Faculty of Philology. In 2013, Professor Piper was elected full member of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts. In the last ten years, the Department was the organiser of many international scientific conferences and symposia, including a number of symposia on the Russian diaspora. The Department’s work is closely linked to the Slavic Society of Serbia, which was founded in 1948, and whose basic aim is the promotion of the teaching of the Slavic languages (primarily the Russian), literature and culture as foreign in the Serbian community. The Slavic Society of Serbia is the organizer of now traditional international scientific events and seminars for the specialization of the Russian language professors, founder of the magazine The Slavic Studies and The Russian as Foreign Slavic Language, as well as of the edition The Slavic Library. Thanks to the «Russkiy Mir» Foundation, there is a Russian Centre and phonetic laboratory for the Russian language students at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. The Department of Slavic Studies has developed cooperation with the best known Universities in Russia.
