The article dwells on the importance of improving the literacy of Russian language among students of technical universities of the Republic of Tajikistan as a key competence for successful professional activity. The urgency of the problem against the background of insufficient level of language skills, low motivation of students and lack of qualified teachers is substantiated. Various methods for improving literacy are proposed, including the introduction of multimedia technologies, the creation of language clubs, webinars and seminars, as well as the active use of a practical approach in classes. The article emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach and the importance of creating a motivational environment for effective mastery of the Russian language, which will ultimately contribute to the successful careers of young people and provide qualified professionals for the country’s economy.
