The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of Internet comments to publications on the two regional websites “Balashover” and “Versia-Saratov”. Internet users in their comments touch the problems of the culture of speech, discuss the violation of language norms both in journalese materials as well as in users’ comments. In the course of a comparative analysis, the author identified similarities and differences in the subjects of comments, in their language and in the strategies and tactics of Internet users. The research material exposed the attitude of visitors of the studied sites to the problems of education and literacy of the population. The reviewed Internet comments indicate the predominance of a destructive strategy in the communication of Internet users. The author hypothesizes about the influence of the quality and subjects of publications in the Internet media on the response of Internet users.
