Lewis’s Observer of Distorted World: An Experience of Christian Worldview
Abstract
The article represents composition analysis of artistic text in line with methodology of Boris Uspensky (see “Poetics of Composition”). The results of the analysis are summarized in the logic of the protagonist`s evolution and are fixed in the concept “Observer” of the novel “inner world” by C.S. Lewis “Till We Have Faces”. The first part of article is devoted to the historical and literary commentary, which clarifies the author’s artistic strategy and links the novel with the later religious-philosophical treatise “Christianity”.
