The paper presents the Croatian dialect lexical material collected on the base of the “Croatian dialect Atlas” questionnaire in the village of Siche in Eastern Croatia (Slavonia). The dialect of this village is very archaic in contrast to the literary Croatian that is more evident in the phonetics and morphology than in the vocabulary containing many borrowings as a result of various cultural influences. The materials in the article reflect main groups of the lexical-semantic dialect system and can be used in comparative studies of Slavic vocabulary.
