M.M. Stepanova᾿s “In Memory of Memory: A Romance” (2017) is conside­red in the context of the socio-cultural situation of recent decades from the point of view of the main narrative strategies of the “literature of memory” of the postmodern era. The author comes to the conclusion that the method of artistic and documentary research by M. Stepanova can be described as “paralogical”, which is confirmed by the analysis of the artistic elements that make up the text of this romance-novel.
