Abstract
In the article which precedes the publication of the film script «La bête Traquée» («The cornered») is defined the place of Nicholai Evreinov in the history of Russian theater in early XX century, his views on the future destiny of theatre. The film script is considered in the context of representations of Evreinov about dramatic art as such.
