Abstract
The author develops an idea that the fourth wave of emigration in contemporary Russian literature is a result of the collapse of the USSR and the formation of the Russian-speaking diaspora literature in the former Soviet space. The novels “Kamennyje Sny” (“Stone Dreams”) by A. Aylisli (Azerbaijan), “Epokha Mertvorozhdennykh” (“The Epoch of Stillborn”) by G. Bobrov (Ukraine, LNR) and “Puteshestvie Khanumana na Lolland” (“Hanuman’s Travel at Lolland”) by A. Ivanov (Estonia) is analyzed in terms of confrontation and interpenetration of the Azerbaijani, Armenian, Russian, Ukrainian, Western, Asian and other types of culture.
