The article concerns the main trends of the Russian-language literature of Kazakhstan in the post-Soviet period. The chronological frameworks of investigation embrace the period of 1991–2015. The author investigates the essence of this artistic phenomenon, analyzing the prose of those writers whose creative work is recognized by the intellectual community, to identifying the main trends and tendencies of development and predicts the prospects relying on the modern theoretical methods of Science and Literary studies.
