We describe and analyse the results of the First Seminar in Literary Translation for Young Russian-Speaking People that took place on February 12–26 at the Philological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University during the academic year of 2015–2016. Due to this initiative, a pioneer one in Russian, we trained Russian-speaking university students in the field of literary translation from Catalan in order to ensure the dissemenation of not yet translated Catalan literature among the Russian public.
