The article provides a survey of the main tendencies of the Catalonian literature into Russian since 1970s. It is noted that the strategy of translation depends on the political situation in Spain and Russia (the Soviet U.). Several trends of translation are revealed: modern poetry and narrative, medieval compositions, folklore. The author stresses the importance of translators’ web-portals for the dissemination of Catalonian literature and the necessity of master-classes and seminars for the students investigating literary translation in order to preserve continuity of the Russian school of translation. The article provides an immence bibliography of Russian translations of Catalonian fiction.
