Information Capacity of the Term and the Context (based on the analysis of a communicative activity of the German term “Fernsehen”)
Abstract
The information capacity of the term is understood by the author as a conceptual-semantic structure, i.e. the volume values of the term “supplying” specific terminological information. A use of terminological information, correlated with the corresponding value of the term, depends directly on the communicative situation and context. The paper shows various ways of ensuring the adequate perception of the relevant terminological information.
