Slovene poetry has four systems of versification: syllabic system of learned protestant church hymns in 16^th century, accentual-syllabic verse of literary poetry in 18^th throu 20^th century, dol‘nik (strict-stress meter) in 19th century literary poetry, free verse of 18^th century church drama and 20^th literary poetry. Verse of sung folk songs is a kind of accentual-syllabic.
