This article is an attempt to demonstrate the social deictic features of personal pronouns in the Macedonian language, i.e. as far as social deixis is manifested by personal pronouns. Thus, the concept of “social deixis” in linguistics is treated, the reasons for the emergence of social deixis and the influence of social factors in the selection of certain personal pronouns are regarded, and special attention to the scope of their use is paid. Besides this the article comprises the way, we will depict how the social deixis is regulated in the speech act, as well the pragmatic features of using personal pronouns in a specific situation.
