The article considers the system of gesture images, motives, associations in the “Poems in Prose” by Ivan Turgenev. Attentions was paid to the art of bodily functions, speech, as well as “internal” gestures associated with the comprehension of the labyrinths of consciousness, the boundaries of empirical reality and оneurosphere. As one of the landmarks of the research, we accept the ideas of the poetics of the gesture in the literature formulated in “Gogol’s Art” by A.Bely.
