Abstract
The article analyses the way the same event is presented in print media and online. The focus is on the three texts published by the Daily Mail, the Independent, and BBC Online and covering an incident that took place in Durham, England in May 2017 – a woman found poisonous spiders inside the bananas she had bought from a local store.
