The article is addressed to the little-researched modern literary material – Marina Stepnova’s novel “Bezbozhnyj lane” (2015) as a phenomenon of psychological prose. The author analyzes the problems of the work, the images of the central characters, their relations with the changing historical time and their self-identification; attention is paid to the mystical aspects of the artistic content.
