The Feminine Space in the Novel “Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes” by Guzel Yakhina and its Translation into the Chinese Language
Abstract
The article analyzes some lexical means of representation of the feminine category in the novel “Zuleikha opens her eyes” by Guzel Yakhina and its translation into Chinese. The feminine aspect of the text is considered on the material of nominations that explicitly and implicitly express the gender. The main author and translator’s strategies for the transmission of the novel’s ethno-gender specificity are highlighted.
