The article focuses on the teaching methodology of folklore in lectures for foreigners. Particularly, the article is about reception and methods for analyzing the genre of the riddle in Russian as a foreign language in classes. It also studies the functions of the riddle by analyzing principles and types in the lecture to prove the riddle’s potential for foreign Russian students.
