Krasilnikova L.V., Markova V.A. Teaching Russian Language for Foreign Philology Students: Program, Textbooks, Tutorials
Abstract
The article is devoted to a new educational and methodological complex created at the Russian Language Department for foreign students at the Philologycal Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The educational and methodological complex includes a program, textbooks and teaching guides intended for language training of foreign philology students. The article examines the features of this contingent of students (needs, goals of language training, duration and prospects of training), substantiates the need to update educational materials in the conditions of the modern educational paradigm, and characterizes all the components of the new set of educational materials. The new program is described in detail and was coordinated with the levels of language training identified in the State Standards (B2, C1). Moreover, the textbooks that provide the educational process throughout the entire period of study (1st to 4th year of bachelor’s degree), as well as teaching guides that complement and deepen the language course presented in the textbooks, are analyzed in detail. Particular attention is paid to the linguistic and methodological principles underlying textbooks and teaching guides.

Nichiporov I.B. Political Disputes in the Structure of A. Solzhenitsyn’s novel “In the First Circle”
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of socio-political discussions in A. Solzhenitsyn’s novel “In the First Circle”. The “playwriting” of dialogues and polylogues on political topics has received an original compositional embodiment here and is based on the mobile, acutely conflicting interaction of various speech flows. Political disputes acquire a moral and philosophical dimension in the work, push the interlocutors to historical assessments and prophecies about the future social structure. Episodes of situational mass disputes are combined with individualized, lengthy and conceptually rich discussions, which often have their own compositional preliminaries and “afterwords”. The article examines in detail the substantive and rhetorical aspects of conversations and clashes involving Rubin, Nerzhin, Sologdin, Gerasimovich, pays attention to uncle Avenir’s political strategies, internal disputes, the evolution of Volodin’s social views, the positions of Galakhov, Radovich, Clara Makarygina. Paradoxically, it is the prisoners’ disputes that show in the novel the highest level of moral, intellectual, and political freedom, unthinkable for the social climate of the Stalinist decades. In the structure of the novel, explicit political battles and hidden, forcibly suppressed social differences form a holistic, branched macro-plot in which, despite the pressure of the totalitarian system, individual and collective social reflection continues to pulsate.

Maltsev L.A., Almoussa Y. Problem-thematic “Crossroads” of the Novel “Perfume” by P. Süskind and Polish Prose of the 20th century (J. Andrzejewski, W. Gombrowicz)
Abstract
The problematic and thematic similarities and differences between the novels “Perfume” by Süskind, “Ferdydurke” by Gombrowicz, “The Gates of Paradise” by Andrzejewski are considered. The ideological and semantic dominant of the three texts is the idea of the vulnerability of mass and individual consciousness, its susceptibility to other people manipulation. The general semantic field of the novels “Perfume” and “The Gates of Paradise” includes the problems of a charismatic hero, his influence on society, and the tragic confrontation between the crowd and an independent individual. The similarity between the novels “Perfume” and “Ferdydurke” lies in the problem of a mask that levels a person’s individuality, as well as in the study of the mechanism of deconstruction of stereotypes, norms, traditions, and rituals accepted in society, which is manifested in the symbolic image of an amorphous tangle of bodies. The main character of the novel “Perfume”, Grenouille, is an anti-hero, because, on the one hand, he behaves criminally towards nature, trying to appropriate forcibly the absolute of natural beauty, and on the other, he is a provocateur, revealing its vicious properties in human nature. In Andrzejewski’s work “The Gates of Paradise” there is no figure of an antihero, while the protagonist of “Ferdydurke” Józef Kowalski partly corresponds to the type of anti-hero, since, not being a criminal, he plays the plot role of a provocateur and deconstructor of standard situations.

Ashrapov B.P. Comparative Analysis of Word-Building Potential of English Adverbial Suffix -ly and Its Tajik Equivalents
Abstract
The article dwells on the issues beset with the comparative analysis of word-building potential of English adverbial suffix -ly and its Tajik equivalents. It is noted that adverb is recognized as an independent part of speech in the comparative languages. However, its classification as a special category in these languages is uncertain, their lexical boundaries are wide, and their functional types are diverse.
It is underscored that the lexical fields of adverbs are very broad and their functional types are different. It is concluded that adverbs are divided into simple, derivative, compound and composite groups based on their structure in the comprative languages and depending on their meaning they are singled out into the following sub-groups, such as: place, time, direction, frequency, modal (English), cause and purpose, manner of action and quantity and degree.

Loreti A. The Role of the Debates on the Definition of the Italian Oral Language and on the Means of Its Propagation after the Italian State Declaration
Abstract
The article examines the role of debates on the definition of a national oral language in Italy, where the divergence between the written, literary language and oral dialects has historically been very significant. The decisive contribution to the definition of the oral language, by choosing the Florentine language as the model of the oral Italian language was made by Alessandro Manzoni along with Graziadio Isaiah Ascoli, who suggested that the adoption of the Florentine language would lead to a formal cult of “popular purity” instead of the ideal of “classical purity”, and that the linguistic would be the result of a deeper action with the aim of spreading culture and bridging the gap, separating a small circle of intellectuals from the rest of the population. In conclusion, the author considers that the convergence of written and spoken Italian has led to the fact that, today, the proficiency in written language among Italians is lower than the average in European countries, and Italians still perceive the spoken language as an unnatural language.

Dragićević R. Problems in Selection of Entries in the Serbian-Russian Dictionary
Abstract
The author of this paper participates in the creation of a large Serbian-Russian dictionary as the compiler of the left side of it. The paper was presented at the round table “Problems of Slavic Comparative Lexicology and Lexicography” held at the Faculty of Philology of the MGU on March 24 and regards some doubts and solutions related to the processing of Serbian zoonyms, phytonyms, outdated lexicon, culturally marked lexicon, homonyms, insufficiently frequent lexicon. It occurred that it is not possible to determine in advance which lexemes can and which cannot be part of a bilingual dictionary. Only principal determinations can be set in advance, and the decision about each individual lexeme, however, depends on 1) the scope of the bilingual dictionary; 2) the languages included in the bilingual dictionary; 3) the evaluation of the structure of dictionary users; 4) the guiding ideas of the lexicographer (what messages and values one wants to convey to the user of the dictionary).

Babicheva M. War in the Works of the National Literary Award “Big Book”: Historical Facts and Fiction
Abstract
The article deals with the main aspects, ways of understanding and features of the artistic representation of war as a socio-historical phenomenon in contemporary Russian literature. As an example some books received the National Literary Award “Big Book” were chosen. Each work is analyzed as one of the options existing in Russian literature for revealing the war theme. The combination of these options clearly shows the variety of possible approaches of the writers to this topic.

Zueva P.D. From Pine to Pineapple: Nature in the Shakespeare Criticism of S. Johnson and S.T. Coleridge
Abstract
The concept of ‘nature’ often appears in the British Shakespeare criticism of the 18th–19th centuries. The very use of this term is of interest, since it often turns out to be associated with other important ideas that form the theoretical basis for a critic’s perception of Shakespeare’s personality and works. However, this article examines cases when Shakespeare critics refer specifically to the natural world (mainly to plants) in their works. The criticism by two authors: S. Johnson and S.T. Coleridge – is studied to demonstrate the evolution in the use of plant metaphors in relation to Shakespeare. The peculiarities of these metaphors are determined by several factors: cultural and historical context, the critics` aesthetic and philosophical views, their personal emotional attitude to the Bard’s works. At the end of the article the evident connections between Johnson`s and Coleridge`s plant metaphors are viewed.

Lashko A.A. System of Meanings of the Abbroconstruct Music and Adjective ‘musical’
Abstract
This article examines the basic principles of determining the meanings of decryption stimuli, and also presents their typology, reveals the concept of “abbroconstruct”, “decryption stimulus”, “relative”, “presentative”, “modifier”, and reveals the features of the semantics of adjectives , the features of the relationship between the meaning of presentational and interpretative interpretations of abbreviations and adjectives are determined; signs of correspondence between relatives and presentatives at the semantic level have been established. A comparison of relative and representative decoding stimuli makes it possible to highlight the shading meanings of the abbreviated structure of music and to supplement the dictionary entry of the adjective ‘musical’. This work helps to clarify ideas about the semantics of adjectives, the possibilities of interpreting the meanings of universalized units, and the semantic structure of abbreviations. The results of the research are used in school and university courses of “Morphology”, “Morphemics and Word Formation” and help in writing Explanatory Dictionary articles on Compound Words of the Russian Language.

Lysenkova E.A. The Display of the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of F.M. Dostoevsky in Soviet Newspapers
Abstract
The article provides an analysis of publications in Soviet newspapers dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of F.M. Dostoevsky, a comparison of which allows us to pay attention to the creation of various images of the writer. It was revealed that local newspapers focused on the perception of Dostoevsky’s work by the population of the regions through films, lectures, and testing their knowledge through quizzes, while in the capital’s newspapers the question of socialism in the writer’s works was raised, and a general summary of the events was provided. Such a multifaceted coverage of the classic’s anniversary makes it possible to use an even more diverse knowledge base about F.M. Dostoevsky and his work and and to attract specialists from different fields to hold various events and anniversaries.

Orlova E.A. Character in the Adapted Series “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries”: Playing with Tradition
Abstract
The Australian TV-series “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries” follows a trend that has emerged in mystery film genre over the last few decades. On the one hand, it is an old story about a private detective; on the other – a new narrative, that fascinates the viewer with an extraordinary setting. This effect is provided by the intertextual links that the series forms with the texts of its surroundings. This article examines how various intertextual elements form the image of the “Roaring Twenties”, linking the cinema text with the ‘classic detective’, while at the same time referring to modern cinema. These challenges are reconciled through the image of the main character. The ironic play with the familiar texts produces a light atmosphere of the series, and the references to the fashion and art of the 1920s construct the illusion of the “reality” of Miss Fisher, who finds her own place in the canon owing to the connections with the world of a detective story.

Despite the existence of numerous studies dedicated to the analysis of the clitic se in the Spanish language, there is currently a lack of systematic research on the element se found in Old Spanish texts. This article provides a description of the functions of the clitic in a 14th-century text based on a previously developed classification.
